I’ll be your guide to explore our famous temples around the old town area of Bangkok: Wat Rakang Kositaram, Wat Arun and Wat Pho, a Buddhist temple complex in Phra Nakhon district. It is located in the Rattanakosin district directly adjacent to the Grand Palace and It is very famous for the giant reclining Buddha and Thai massage.
First we will see Wat Pho, also called Wat Phra Chetuphon, the oldest and largest wat in Bangkok. It was built in the 16th century during the Ayutthaya period and then almost completely rebuild in 1785 by King Rama I. It features the largest reclining Buddha and the largest collection of Buddha images in Thailand and was the earliest center for public education.
Around noon I’ll take you to Tha Phrachan or Phrachan Pier to get some awesome local foods for lunch. After we’ll take a ferry to Wat Rakang Kositaram which situated on the opposite side of the pier. Wat Rakang Kositaram got a nice ambiance to chill out, including fish feeding we can do that there as well.
Last destination will be Wat Arun, one of Bangkoks most-famous landmarks, founded in the Ayutthaya period with an impressive tall tower.
