5 PLACES ALONG THE CHAO PHRAYA RIVER

There are many sightseeing spots along the Chao Phraya River. Let’s travel by boat, without traffic and on time and see 5 famous places in Bangkok.

1. Holy Rosary Church: is a Roman Catholic church on the eastern bank of the Chao Phraya River, built in 1769. Portuguese seafarers were among the first Europeans to establish diplomatic ties with Siam, and their influence in the kingdom was rewarded with prime riverside real estate.

2. Customs House (Oriental Pier): built in 1880. This is where the 19th-century port of Bangkok used to be. It’s currently used as a fire station, but under the grime it’s one of Bangkok’s most impressive buildings of its era, because you can grasp the atmosphere of Bangkok in earlier times.

3. Yodpiman Riverwalk: is a lifestyle mall focusing on a heritage theme inspired by the architecture of Thailand’s Ayuthaya period. Ornate, period fixtures are fitted throughout – very much in keeping with the feel of Old City Bangkok.

4. National Museum Of Royal Barges: is a museum in Bangkok, Thailand. It is located on the northern rim of Bangkok Noi canal within Bangkok Noi district. Some historical royal barges of the Royal Barge Procession are kept at the museum.

5. Asiatique The Riverfront (only evening): is a large open-air mall in Bangkok, Thailand. It is situated in the former docks of the East Asiatic Company, and faces the Chao Phraya River and Charoen Krung Road.
